Simple Notes in My Notebook

I’m really liking the new theme for this site! It has just the right amount of minimalism I have been searching for.

Visually, there’s a lot going on at Notes from an Aspiring Humanitarian. That’s done on purpose to assist visitors with accessing the hundreds of notes I’ve published there rather quickly.

Since I update this space a lot less, there’s no need for that here. The goal is to keep things rather simple.

Originally I created this webspace to hold only my professional updates, but I’ve decided to add some personal touches too. I am now calling the blog portion of this website my “Notebook.”  Posts in this category will range from short bursts to longform notes. Social Justice will remain a consistent theme in these mostly unedited, free-written updates.  Here’s to keeping it simple.

Relando Thompkins-Jones

I'm a Social Justice Educator and Aspiring Humanitarian who is interested in conflict resolution, improving intergroup relations, and building more equitable and inclusive communities. "Notes from an Aspiring Humanitarian" is my blog, where I write about issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. By exploring social identities through written word, film & video, and other forms of media, I hope to continue to expand and enrich conversations about social issues that face our society, and to find ways to take social action while encouraging others to do so as well in their own ways.
